Julie Gillett graduated from College of Charleston in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting & Finance. Since then, she has been pursuing her passion for accounting working for small and large companies along the southeast coast.

From 2015 until 2021, Julie served as Chief Financial Officer for a group of eight companies with varied interests in media, property development, and network systems. Her role as a key executive manager required a command of business accounting functions across diverse industries along with the ability to delegate directives to managers of each of the corporate entities. During this period, she was directly involved in creating three new businesses from the ground up, negotiating and executing the sale of five business entities, and managing the leasing of multiple commercial properties.

You can find Julie in the garden, in the woods or in a kayak. She has a strong passion for the outdoors and anything nature related and earned a SC Certified Landscape Professional certification from Clemson Extension. Julie creates pollinator friendly habitats for her bees. She has 5 active beehives and wants to do her part to help the save the bee population.

And yes, she wears those crazy bee suits…
